    Alpenglow Fitness Intro to Studio Cycling

    An instructor will orient you to the studio, get your bike fitted properly, and guide you through a gentle first ride. You’ll learn the positions and lingo in a supportive setting with other first-time students. Class is free, please bring clean shoes and a water bottle.     Nils Fredland calling to The Gaslight Tinkers. The Gaslight Tinkers’ blend of global rhythms creates a joyously danceable sound around a core of traditional New England old time and celtic fiddle music. No experience and no partner needed. All dances are taught plus an introductory session at 7:40. March dances will be a trial using “Larks & Ravens” for dance roles. Everyone welcome! The dance takes place at the Capital City Grange Hall, 6612 Rt 12, Berlin, VT just 1 mile south of Montpelier. Please bring clean, soft-soled shoes. Admission is $10 adults, $5 kids and low income, $15 dance supporters. Questions?     Poetry Workshop Series: What If You Could Only Say Things Once?


    March 2, 10 am–noon

    This class will explore choosing the words, lines and rhythm for our poems. We will share inspirations of poets we love to guide this process. Each class will include in-class writing exercises, sharing and discussion of the craft. Our aim is to create several poems for a reading (if you choose) during PoemCity! Saturdays, March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; Laurie McMillan, facilitator and writer.
