Horses are amazing, sentient, gentle beings that have a way of calming the soul and bringing inner peace to one’s self.   For those who are having a hard time in the grieving process, sometimes interaction with a horse can help where other interventions have fallen short. We are offering a 7 week support group program that will meet once a week for an hour. Our intent is to keep the group small with no more than 10 participants plus volunteers and instructors. We will be able to provide referral resources if issues come up during sessions that someone would want to seek some professional guidance for.

Biodiversity University: Fall Warblers – Presentation
    Wednesday, September 12, 7 – 8:30 pm
Roger Tory Peterson popularized the term “confusing fall warblers”, but don’t let that put you off
from learning and enjoying the warblers as they head south for the winter. With a little guidance
and practice, you’ll be able to identify most of the fall warblers you see. In this presentation, we
will lift the veil of mystery surrounding those “confusing fall warblers,” especially those seldom-
seen fall migrants like Bay-breasted, Blackpoll, and Orange-crowned warblers. Presented by
NBNC Executive Director Chip Darmstadt. Admission by donation.

    Sept. 12, 7 pm

Last year, information was released from the Department of Homeland Security indicating that voting systems in 21 states had been targeted by Russian hackers. As election officials across the country work to defend against this emerging threat, how are Vermont officials keeping future elections secure? Secretary Condos will discuss the protections Vermont has in place to secure the integrity of our elections, and what states need from Congress to secure future elections.
