Call for Poems: PoemCity 2018

The Kellogg-Hubbard Library invites Vermont poets–professional or amateur–to submit their original poems for PoemCity 2018, a city-wide event that displays poetry on local business storefronts as a way to celebrate National Poetry Month. Chosen poems will appear throughout the downtown Montpelier for the month of April 2018.
1. Deadline: February 1, 2018
2. Please send 1 to 3 poems as MS Word attachments.
Poems must be submitted as separate documents but in one account.
3. Each poem must not exceed 24 lines.

Winter Book Sale at Kellogg-Hubbard Library

    Make it a new year’s resolution! Join End-of-Life Specialist Michelle Acciavatti and fellow community members as we gather to screen “Being Mortal,” a PBS Frontline production. The film explores the intersection of life, death, medicine and what matters in the end. Michelle, founder of Ending Well, specializing in advance planning and more, will encourage conversation that will empower participants identify the values that matter most to them when it comes to living, and dying, well. Part of MSAC’s End of Life Program Series.

    Visiting writers for the Winter 2018 residency include a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet, a bestselling novelist, an award-winning fiction writer from Puerto Rico, and a nonfiction writer who graduated from the MFA in Writing program.
