    The Caledonia County Fair is Vermont’s oldest fair, celebrating its 162nd season.

    Daily fair hours vary: 4 to 11 pm Wednesday and 7 am to 11 pm Thursday – Sunday.

    Unlimited rides and entertainment are included with daily fair admission: $30 per vehicle for all legally seated passengers on Carload Wednesday and $17 per person Thursday – Sunday. Admission for seniors on Thursday is $12.

    The Waterbury Historical Society will be hosting a Special Meeting on Sunday, August 27
    at  2pm.  It will be held at the Community room  at Waterbury Municipal Building,
    28 N.Main St. 
    The program will be  an authors chat and power point about  “Voices from the Attic.”
    The speaker,  Carleton Young,  will tell about the civil war letters that he found in his
    family attic in Pittsburgh.  The letter were written by two Vermont soldiers during the
    Civil War. Rediscovered after 150 years, their letters offer fascinating insights as seen
    through the eyes of two soldiers who lived in Williamstown but who also had several
    surprising connections to Waterbury.
    The meeting is free and open to the public.  Handicapped accessible.
    His book will be available to purchase.

    Sunday August 277-9pm Join Didgeridoo pioneer Pitz Quattrone and acupuncturist and sound healer, Jim Thomas for an evening of guided and toning meditation. Pitz and Jim will incorporate the Didgeridoo, schruti box, crystal singing bowls and voices as they lead the group in a powerful sound meditation experience. All levels of meditation experience welcome! Suggested donation is $25.
