The Burlington theatrical fusion belly dance troupe, The Accaliae, host a night of Moon Myths, Stories and Rituals to celebrate the Moon with Dance. Come celebrate the moon and the night with belly dance, burlesque, puppetry and contemporary dancers from Montreal, NY, Boston, Vermont and points in between. Performers include Aria Michaels Paradise, Cult of Yes, Silver Wolf Tribe, Marina D. Ray, The Lunachix, Di’Ahna Restry, Amihan, She Awakens, Leanan Sidhe, Alison of Bohemienne Fitness, Throat of the Loon, Ariela, Irit, Green Mountain Cabaret, Dark Pride and The Accaliae. It will be an evening of powerful pieces that reflect current events and the balance of light and dark. Admission is $15 at the door.
    100% of proceeds will support Vermont Family Network and Puppets in Education (PiE). PiE teaches children how to keep themselves safe and healthy and to appreciate each others differences.     JOHNSON, VERMONT — The student theater troupe at Northern Vermont University-Johnson will present the Tony award-winning musical “Nine,” about the challenges of an Italian filmmaker, April 26-29 at the Dibden Center for the Arts on campus.

    Performances will start at 7 p.m. April 26-28 and 2 p.m. April 29. Tickets are $10 a person (cash only) for the public.

    “Nine,” based on the 1963 Federico Fellini film “8 ½,” tells the story of film director Guido Contini as he deals with personal and professional crises and faces demands from the women in his life. Daniel Day-Lewis starred in the 2009 film “Nine.” The musical won a Tony award for the 2003 Broadway revival that starred Antonio Banderas and for the original 1982 Broadway production.

    Laura Roald, head of the Off Center for the Dramatic Arts in Burlington, will direct the NVU production, which will include music by members of NVU-Johnson’s student ensembles.

    JOHNSON, VERMONT — The student theater troupe at Northern Vermont University-Johnson will present the Tony award-winning musical “Nine,” about the challenges of an Italian filmmaker, April 26-29 at the Dibden Center for the Arts on campus.

    Performances will start at 7 p.m. April 26-28 and 2 p.m. April 29. Tickets are $10 a person (cash only) for the public.

    “Nine,” based on the 1963 Federico Fellini film “8 ½,” tells the story of film director Guido Contini as he deals with personal and professional crises and faces demands from the women in his life. Daniel Day-Lewis starred in the 2009 film “Nine.” The musical won a Tony award for the 2003 Broadway revival that starred Antonio Banderas and for the original 1982 Broadway production.

    Laura Roald, head of the Off Center for the Dramatic Arts in Burlington, will direct the NVU production, which will include music by members of NVU-Johnson’s student ensembles.

    Silent Sky by Lauren Gunderson runs Thursdays thru Sundays, April 19 thru May 6, at City Hall Arts Center, Montpelier.
