HCA Music Series: Willa Mamet and Paul Miller

    September 2nd 2017

    7:00pm

Vermont-born Willa Mamet and guitarist Paul Miller have known each other most of their lives. It was when they met that they discovered that wonderful things happened when they sang together around the kitchen table. This moment began a journey that has led to two albums and numerous tours of the Northeast Kingdom and West Coast.

Miller has played music professionally for over 40 years- with Coco and the Lonesome Road Band, Bluebird, Andy Shapiro, Breakaway, and currently with the Bluegrass Gospel Project. Mamet was born in Randolph, VT.

“Willa Mamet and Paul Miller have exactly what it takes to get the job done, and the pleasure is in the delivery,” said Robert Resnik of VPR when describing their sound. “At their best, Willa Mamet and Paul Miller invite you into that Vermont kitchen when they first found musical magic so many years ago”

Willa Mamet & Paul Miller: two voices and a guitar, like you’re at the kitchen table with us. Folk, country, Americana, and grassy soul in one intimate, acoustic evening.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for students, and $5 for EBT cardholders. For more information visit www.highlandartsvt.org

    R.D. King

    2017/09/02
62 Country Club Rd, Brandon, VT 05733, USA
62 Country Club Rd, Brandon, VT 05733, USA

R.D. King, live at Brandon Music

A genre-defying, fingers-blazing guitarist from Boston, R.D. King’s acoustic guitar performances fuse pop melodies, metal rhythms, folk fingerstyle, and hints of jazz harmony. King is touring the New England region following the April 2017 release of his newest album, ‘vs. Self’ and stops at Brandon Music on September 2 for a 7:30pm performance.King’s audiences describe his music as passionate, powerful, deeply memorable and—at times—extraordinary; and as Red Line Roots describes, he has some skill with a guitar: “[King’s] penchant for flair and lightning-quick fretboard work left me with my jaw on the floor.”

Concert tickets are $20. A pre-concert dinner is available for $25.  Reservations are required for dinner and recommended for the show. Venue is BYOB. Call (802) 247-4295 or e-mail info@brandon-music.net for reservations or for more information. Brandon Music is located at 62 Country Club Rd. Brandon, VT 05733www.brandon-music.net
