    Mirth and Mystery: A Nordic Piano Trio Program

    The Stellaria Trio kicks off its 2017-18 season with a spotlight on works by Finnish, Norwegian, and Danish composers.  Violinist Letitia Quante, cellist John Dunlop, and pianist Claire Black present the ‘Lovisa’ Trio of Jean Sibelius, Edvard Grieg’s Andante con moto, and Piano Trio in F Minor by Peter E. Lange-Müller.

    Vermont Virtuosi: Trio Espressivo

    Vermont Virtuosi begins its 2017-2018 season with Trio Espressivo, a concert of music for flute, violin, and piano that features three internationally acclaimed musicians. Flutist and Vermont Virtuosi artistic director Laurel Ann Maurer joins violinist Arturo Delmoni and concert pianist Diane Huling in music by Johann Sebastian Bach, his son, C.P.E. Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Frédéric Chopin, and Vermont composer David Gunn.

    The concert will take place at 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2017, at the Unitarian Church, 130 Main Street, in Montpelier. Admission is free; donations ($10 suggested) are welcome. For more information, visit or call 802-881-9153.
