MONTPELIER — The Onion River Chorus, founded in 1978 by Larry Gordon and Brian Webb, will begin its fall rehearsals on Monday, September 12. The Onion River Chorus is putting out an invitation to all singers throughout Central Vermont to join.
Rehearsal will be from 7 to 9 p.m. every Monday through the fall and early winter. Rehearsals will be held in the Taplin Auditorium (second floor of the parish hall) of Christ Church on State Street in Montpelier. The chorus will perform twice in Montpelier on December 17 and 18.
According to an Onion River Chorus press release, “Onion River Chorus has built a reputation for its programming of less familiar choral masterworks, from Renaissance to modern and has championed Baroque works by Zelenka, Biber, Charpentier and others.”
Organizers are encouraging singers to arrive no later than 6:45 p.m. for the opening rehearsal night on September 12 so that singers will have time to register and pick up their sheet music. The rehearsal will start promptly at 7 p.m.
