All are invited to take part in Montpelier’s second annual City-wide Tag Sale. Once again, Montpelier Alive is partnering with the Washington County Youth Service Bureau/Boys & Girls Club to organize this unique community event where citizens, businesses, churches, civic groups, nonprofits, individual residences and neighborhoods are encouraged to de-clutter, spring clean and plan a sale. The City-wide Tag Sale will take place on Saturday, June 4, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Tag Sale is an organized community approach that helps to get people to your sale! This is a great way to maximize your hard work and ensure that your yard sale this year is a great success. Community-wide tag sales are also a great way to cultivate neighborhood involvement and promote community building, business and tourism.
Sellers get a distinctive lawn sign that, in combination with a location and description on a city-wide map, takes shoppers through town to find treasures of all kinds! The sale is widely-publicized in central Vermont. This year non-profits will be highlighted on the map so you can shop for a good cause, too. Whether you are a shopper or seller, it is a fun day for all!
Applications to participate are due to the Montpelier Alive offices by Wednesday, May 25 and can be found at Montpelier Alive.org/Festivals/City-WideTagSale. In addition to the application, you can find more information and a map on the website.
Maps will also be available around downtown Montpelier, printed in The World and The Bridge newspapers and at the Capital City Farmers’ Market on June 4. If you have any questions, you can email: email@example.com or call Washington County Youth Service Bureau at 229-9151 Monday-Friday 8:30 to 5 p.m.
Shoppers and sellers alike, mark your calendar for June 4 in Montpelier!
